Australians mostly believe their occupations will still be here in fifty years time, although just over a quarter think they’ll be gone by that time. Construction, accommodation and food workers are optimistic their occupations will still exist, while administrative workers are very pessimistic.

Administrative and support staff are pessimistic, with 63% believing their job either probably or definitely won’t exist in 50 years.
Manufacturing, financial and insurance sector workers have the highest rates of acute pessimism. 13% of each think their occupation will definitely be gone by 2068.
